What each one is
VEED. VEED is a browser video editor with auto-subtitles, templates, AI avatars, text-to-video, and dubbing.
Clypmint. You upload footage you already shot. You pick one of 22 Clypmint styles or tell the AI editor what to do in a sentence. It cuts the footage, writes the captions, and adds the motion graphics, then hands back a finished video and a timeline you can still change.
What VEED is genuinely good at
- The widest tool set of any browser editor here: subtitles, dubbing, avatars, text-to-video, an API.
- Unlimited auto subtitles on every paid plan.
- The cheapest general editor entry price on a yearly plan.
- A very large public review base, most of it positive.

Credits do not mean the same thing at two companies. Vizard and quso.ai count a credit as a minute of video you put in. Klap counts clips that come out. Submagic counts videos you export. Captions does not say what a credit buys. HeyGen spends credits per minute of avatar video, and Runway per generation. So compare the price and the finished videos, not the credit numbers.
Choose VEED if
- You want one browser tool for subtitles, quick edits, and generated clips.
- A template style is fine for what you post.

Choose Clypmint if
- You want the editing done, not a timeline to do it on.
- You want graphics designed for the edit, not dragged from a template panel.
